Gilberto was a professor at the Central University of Venezuela in the Literature and Modern languages departments, where he taught linguistics, Spanish and Creative Writing.
In addition to his work as proofreader and editorial assistant at the Centro de Estudios Rómulo Gallegos (Celarg), Gilberto was the Communications Coordinator at the Monte Ávila Editores publishing house. Since 2016, he has been dedicated to online content creation.
Gilberto holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Faculty of Arts of the Central University of Venezuela and a Master’s degree in Latin American Literature from Simón Bolívar University (Caracas), where he also held the position of research associate.
In addition, he has a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Tres de Febrero National University. He also studied German at the Goethe Institut of Caracas for five years and Italian at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura for two.
