The Encyclopedia of Humanities and all its content is owned by Etecé Publishing House, an educational content company dedicated to delivering reliable, free online encyclopedias. We feature over 10,000 articles on topics spanning various branches of knowledge to foster learning and inspire curiosity in our readers.
The Encyclopedia of Humanities was born in 2016 under the name Enciclopedia de Características (Encyclopedia of Characteristics) with the mission to foster learning and make it accessible through extensive lists of facts and features covering a huge range of subject areas, spanning from language, literature and history, to chemistry, natural science, and marketing, among many others.
In 2022, we decided on a change of perspective and approach to the encyclopedia’s content, migrating to Humanidades.com. Today, our focus is exclusively on the creation and dissemination of knowledge concerning the social sciences.
Our mission
We strive to make the Encyclopedia of Humanities a trusted reference source for subject matters concerning the social sciences, including history, geography, philosophy, and literature. To that end, we constantly enhance and expand the articles and the educational resources contained in our website to facilitate understanding.
As in every project we do, we commit ourselves to delivering the most complete and reliable information on different topics of interest to inspire readers. We provide rigorous research articles in line with the trends of the digital world for everyone seeking simple explanations about the most wide-ranging topics concerning the humanities.
At Etecé, we believe that all great learning is sparked by a question. This is why every year we empower over two million people with the knowledge they need. We help readers get the answers to their questions by offering high-quality content with easy and intuitive website navigation for a streamlined experience.
